The foam and glue (rests) must be removed completely!

Thanks for posting the finger cup housing 3D files. I am printing now and will keep you informed as I go.

I am using VG1040003D LRAs and am a little worried about how firmly the LRAs you use are held in place. To date I have elected to have the LRAs sit on a latex "springs" that I removed from an old calculator keyboard. The latex springs are very flexible and allow the LRA to vibrate freely to prevent the LRAs from also vibrating any mass to which they are attached (which damps the vibration).

Please explain me your worries.

The part of the VCA, I hold firmly in place, is the static part of the VCA, the magnet and the outer frame. The moving part, the Voice Coil, is suspended with the four elastic legs and can move freely up and down its full stroke.

I have been working on a modified housing design, which includes a slope that helps get the pillar closer to the finger tip. There is also an optional top to the housing that seems to help keep the finger in place.

What about trimming down the tip of the stud that touches the finger, and then threading in a tiny screw? You could then turn the screw either way to get a very fine height adjustment very easily without shimming etc.
