Unlike a Speaker or a 'Exciter | Resonator (electrodynamic transducer)', which can be driven at arbitrary frequencies, an LRA precision vibration motor is useful in haptic applications within a specific frequency range.

A LRA linear resonant actuators that oscillates along the axis, perpendicular to the motors surface, called by :

- Precision Microdrives, the Y-axis

LRA's vibrating in other directions, like the one below are a no-go for this application
