I measure the contactor pin to be around 1.2mm below the finger surface, so maybe "several millimeters" was an exaggeration. I measure my contactor pin to be 5.1mm tall, so maybe it's a little short compared to the 5.7mm model, so that could be part of it. Did you leave the foam intact on ...

Maybe there are better ways to do this, but I think one way to make it more printable on FDM would be to separate the finger cup into a separate part that can be glued on.
